Cade Hall: Looking to the Future

By Sam Clark ’19 and Carlo Jimenez ’19

Despite an early season injury holding him out for several games, Cade Hall ’18 has impressed in his role as both star player and team leader and looks to continue his stellar play entering the CCS playoffs.

Though the team is not experiencing its best season, Cade acknowledges that he has “a great perspective on what it takes to have a winning team [which allows him to] really push the team in the right direction as one of the team’s leaders.” This leadership has helped Bellarmine right the ship as they prepare to take on the undefeated (10-0) Milpitas.

The team has “a new outlook and a fresh start to the season” that will hopefully allow them to forget early season shortcomings and bring forth more victories. The new-look Bells return to action on Friday, November 17th at Milpitas High School with their season on the line for the rest of the year.

As Cade looks to what could be his last game in a Bellarmine uniform, he discussed his career in the near future.

“Hopefully, I will end up playing somewhere in college. Right now, I have a scholarship offer from San Jose State. As of right now, I’ll most likely end up at San Jose State,” he said.

Although Cade had no inclination that this game will be his last, he spoke about the team’s mentality for their upcoming matchup.

“When it comes to seedings and records it doesn’t really matter because if we win we get to go on and if they win they get to go on,” he said. “Even though they have a much better record than us and have had a much more successful regular season, the beautiful thing about the playoffs is all that stuff goes out the window, and it’s only about who comes out to play that night.”
