Hi, I’m Jeffrey, and I was an editor of the Bell Online for the 2023-24 school year. As I bid farewell to Online, I wanted to share a bit of my journey with you.
My first Bell Online session wasn’t with a big group of people like we are so fortunate to have now. I still remember Michael Ahn, the chief editor at the time, guiding me through the process of signing up for Camayak, a third-party processing site we used to get our articles published. Back then, the website only displayed a few articles a month and a couple of ASB videos on the side. Although the site has undergone so many changes since then, its original purpose remains the same. The Online was a small organization with a tight-knit community, but it was nevertheless a club that prospered in that office all the way at the back of the second floor of Sobrato.
Throughout my three years here, Bell Online has given me a community in which I felt I belonged, and fantastic friends who have shaped the person I am today, both in writing and beyond. I am so grateful to all the upperclassmen who have contributed to the paper, to our preceding editors, as well as to Mr. Young and Mrs. Slater, who have been the backbone of this organization all along, guiding its theme, suggesting articles, and opening doors (literally!). I will be sad to leave, but I know that the paper is in good hands. I encourage you all to stop by like I did that very first day, and I hope that you too will find S-204 a home away from home, just as I have found it mine.

We have been so fortunate to be able to work with Jeffrey throughout these past few years at the Bell Online. Jeffrey has always been dependable, committed, and generous to every one who stopped by the office. We wish Jeffrey all the best in his new journey at Brown and hope to see him back in the office in the future!
We would also like to take a moment to thank Mr. Young and Mrs. Slater for all of their guidance and advice throughout this school year. The Bell Online would not be able to function without their presence.
The Bell Online will be taking a break during the summer, but be sure to expect more articles and podcasts to come out in the coming year. Have a restful summer!
