On Friday, May 12th, Bellarmine will be hosting their first annual Cultural Faire. The Faire will be held after school on Friday in the quad from 1:30-3:30 and admission is free. It will be a celebration of the different cultures that have a home here at Bellarmine. Cultural clubs will each host their own booths complete with food and games, and they will also honor their culture with a flag ceremony.
The Faire will also host music and dance performances from both the Filipino and Indian Student Unions. Shaan Patel ‘19, a member of the Indian Student Union, spoke about the significance of the dance saying, “I am super excited for the Faire. Our dance is super sick and we have been practicing for a while now, so hopefully it will look really good. Also it’s a super cool blend between my Indian heritage and westernized upbringings. The Bollywood dancing as well as the hip hop does a really awesome job of showing off my Indian-American culture.”
Members of the different cultural clubs put together a video previewing the Faire, which can be found below.
